In one of the shots below, you’Äôll see a small, yellow beer sign in the background. Up until this project, The Weld House had only built industrial furniture from raw steel more suitable for a true loft vs. a modern home. At a clients request, we struggled to somehow incorporate the beer sign into the top of the table due to its small size and reluctance to weld a metal collage for fear of numerous sharp edges.

Finally, a solution was realized after seeing an old Cadillac who’Äôs paint was weathered and distressed. Not knowing if the metal could even be re-worked, it was a last resort solution to replacing the beer sign design directive which we had concluded was not possible.

The finished table was really amazing, partly because we struggled outside of our comfort zone to accommodate an insistent client but also because we knew we had created a very unique niche’Äô that has keep us hunting for that next cool piece of metal ever since.

The hunt is half the fun. Finding a winner is the other half. Enjoy!
